My generator has only normal plug and one "RV" receptacle, household allows 1800 watts and the RV one allows 3500 watts, so to get the full 3500 watts with 120 volts 15 amps, I have to use both plugs. So I got this to convert the RV receptacle into a normal household one. Green light tells you it's hot, reasonable price, I'm happy.
