(More customer reviews)I have a Ford Explorer with a factory 1-1/4" hitch. I did not experience the hole alignment problem or the sizing issue mentioned in the other poor rating for this product. It slid in easily and the holes matched up. The reason I gave this device a low rating is that it is stamped with a warning that says something to the effect of: "This device is not to be used for towing." At the time of purchase and of review, there was no such statement on the product page. This is an expensive device if its only use is adapting for bike carriers and such. Now I still need something that I can use for towing my jetski. I'm guessing it probably would work for that but if the manufacturer says not to trust it for that purpose, then it would be foolish to jeopardize the safety of those behind me by doing so. They should have been upfront about the limitations of their product. Additionally I found this product by searching for the term "tow adapter". If it cannot tow then that search term should be disassociated from this product.
